UPDATES PROJECT MANAGER  

Part-Time Position 

Advent is a unique experiential design firm located in Nashville, Tennessee. Our work is based on the concept of “designing experiences that move people.” The experiences that we create for our clients require annual updates to keep the designs fresh and accurate in information displayed. 

Advent is seeking a crucial role best described as a hybrid between project manager and visual creative: an Updates Project Manager. Introduced at the conclusion of an initial project after the installation, this role will direct, manage, organize and even facilitate the update process for exhibits in our client portfolio. We need a jack- or jill-of-all-trades in the creative arena. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• UPM will be the primary point of contact for updates for each given project 
• Create and manage Project Update Manual (catalog) for client containing all potential updates within the project 
• Create and manage detailed, annual Update Agreements for key clients 
• Manage client relations, scheduling, budgeting, and artist resourcing to facilitate updates 
• Collaborate with Advent Fabrication Lead to ensure proper fabrication and installation QC for materials, color matching, etc. 
• Track financial performance: Budget, Invoicing & Travel Reimbursements 
• Direct small team of artists, contractors and interns to meet update objectives and deliverables 
• Ensure updates conform to contract 
• Potential travel to onsite display locations 

QUALIFICATIONS 

• 3+ years of experience in creative management field 
• Professional degree in creative discipline 
• Must have strong leadership skills and experience leading and managing a creative project team 
• Immaculate attention to detail and organization, plus a keen “design eye” 
• Interpersonal relationship and client-facing presenting skills 
• Mad spreadsheet skills 
• Ability to juggle many moving pieces 
• Even-keel temperament that won’t crack under pressure 
• Fluency with Apple computing/OSX 
• Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite and solid working skill within InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Construction and/or interior design experience preferred, but not required
• Pop-culture knowledge (film/music/superheroes/etc.) not required, but a definite plus
